VIRUS INTL ADDS UFC MMA STAR TJ DILLASHAW TO ROSTER

Huntington Beach, CA- May 2017- VIRUS Performance welcomes TJ Dillashaw, professional MMA and UFC athlete, as the newest addition to their team as a sponsored athlete and apparel partner for the fast growing athletic clothing company. “We are extremely proud to announce our partnership with TJ. His proven abilities, focus and star power will be a great foundation for our partnership,” stated Eugene Yasutomi, Vice President of Marketing. “His athletic ability combined with unique style is one of the most well respected in mixed martial arts, and we are honored to officially have him part of our team.” Dillashaw, collegiate wrestler at Cal State Fullerton, qualified for the Division 1 NCAA Nationals Championships three times finishing in the top ten. Introduced to Mixed Martial Arts by his former assistant wrestling coach, UFC veteran and VIRUS Athlete Mark Munoz, TJ decided to dedicate himself to the sport of MMA and to full time training after graduation. In 2011 TJ was cast on the 14th Season of The Ultimate Fighter where he fought his way to the finals. The success on the television show lead to a contract in the UFC. TJ became the UFC Bantamweight Champion on May 24th, 2014 and is currently a coach on “The Ultimate Fighter 25” opposite his opponent for the UFC Bantamweight title fight scheduled for International Fight Week, July 2017.
